I have played with ginger before. If you know, you know. So when a box from Naturally Naughty* landed on my doorstep, I was curious but also a little smug. Ginger? Been there, felt that. Well. I was wrong about a few things, and I want to tell you exactly which ones.
What landed on my table
Three things: a natural ginger spray*, a ginger massage oil*, and an organic coconut oil for aftercare. Small heads-up: the coconut oil is sold out in the shop right now, so I cannot link it, and because of that the full three-piece set is not buyable at the moment either. Keep that in mind for the giveaway further down, it matters.
First impression before I even opened anything: the packaging is lovely. Clean, discreet, no cheesy graphics. What actually matters to me is what is inside, and here it ticks my boxes. Vegan, 100% organic, purely natural, made in Germany. That is not a small thing when you plan to put something on very sensitive skin.
First try: warm, then warmer, then oh
I tested carefully. On purpose. And I was surprised by how well it works.
It starts warm. Then it slowly builds, stronger and stronger, up to a light burning. If you have ever experimented with real ginger down there, the feeling is similar but also genuinely different. It absorbs differently. It stays with you longer.
That is the part I did not expect. With the spray you just spray, or rub it in, and you are done. No cutting, no carving, no fiddling with a piece of root. Compared to the classic figging route it is simply more comfortable to use, and honestly a lot more pleasant. The coconut oil is the calm after. You use it afterwards to soften the heat and care for the skin.
Why I keep reaching for it
Application is stupidly easy. Spray or rub, wait, feel. It is compact enough to disappear into any bag, which makes it a perfect little companion for a play party. And everything gets more sensitive. That is exactly the point.
Two practical things I love:
- It lasts. Once it is on, it works for a good while, so you are not constantly re-applying mid-moment.
- You control the dose. Start with one spray, then build. That little bit of control is what makes it feel safe to play with.
Where it has its limits, read this part
Here is my honest bit, because a review without it is useless to you.
Depending on my cycle and my mood, it was sometimes too much for me. The fix is easy. Instead of putting it on skin, you spray it onto the toy itself. Same play, milder effect. Good trick to keep in your back pocket.
The bigger thing to understand: this is, in a way, tunnel play. Once it has absorbed, it keeps working for a while, and you cannot just switch it off. So start small. Put a little on, wait, and see how your body responds and whether you even like it, before you decide to go bigger. Do not go all in on the first try. Please. Do it curious, do it careful, but do not overdo it.
My verdict
I came in a little cocky and left genuinely impressed. It is natural, it is easy, it lasts, and you can dose it, which for sensation play like this is exactly the combination I want. If you are ginger-curious, the spray is the low-drama way in. If you already love the heat, the massage oil goes deeper and slower.
